They could allow his current deal to run down towards free agency, discuss fresh terms or negotiate a move elsewhere.Nicol considers the latter of those three options to be the most suitable, with Lallana having struggled to live up to expectations on the back of a £25 million ($31m) transfer in the summer of 2014.The ex-Reds defender told ESPN FC of an injury-ravaged midfielder: “I think it’s pretty clear the odd man out in that lot is Lallana.“At his best he can give you a little sparkle. Unfortunately, in his time at Liverpool, he’s not really been at his best very often.“So right now, for me, he is the one completely on the out.”Lallana has made just 31 appearances for Liverpool across the last two seasons, but has passed the 150 mark across his five years on Merseyside.Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Liverpool 2019-20Fierce competition for places suggests that he will find game time limited again in 2019-20, with the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain having returned to fitness and edged ahead of him in the pecking order.Nicol believes another England star on Jurgen Klopp’s books could prove to be a major asset next season, a former Arsenal star back at the Reds’ disposal after recovering from a serious knee problem.“When he got his injury, he was arguably one of Liverpool’s best players at the time,” said the Scot.“It’s an interesting time to see whether he can recover completely from his injury and can he recover the form that he was showing?“The form he was showing was not the form of Arsenal.“This was not the Ox of Arsenal, this was a completely transformed player.“At Arsenal he looked one-dimensional, the Ox, but when he came to Liverpool all of a sudden he did all types of different things.” Subscribe to Goal’s Liverpool Correspondent Neil Jones’ weekly email bringing you the best Liverpool FC writing from around the weblast_img read more

A message from Brock President Jack Lightstone

Dear staff, faculty and students,In light of today’s media attention regarding a complaint of sexual harassment at Brock University, I wanted to ensure that you hear from me directly.Brock takes the issue of sexual harassment very seriously. We regret the emotional trauma this incident has caused to the complainant. It is important you all know that Brock staff were supportive and responsive as soon as they learned of the complaint.Brock has confidentiality measures as a result of a variety of legal obligations to both complainants and respondents in cases like these. If any complainant ever wishes to discuss their experience, they are free to do so, even though the University is bound by its confidentiality measures. We regret if we led the complainant to believe otherwise.Due to privacy and human rights legislation, Brock cannot disclose the exact terms of the actions taken, but I can tell you that the employee involved in this situation is not teaching any classes and is not on campus.A sexual violence prevention committee of faculty, staff and students was created last September and is working to develop a new stand-alone policy dealing with sexual violence awareness, prevention and responses. This project will give Brock an updated process that conforms with the guidance set out in Bill 132, Ontario’s new sexual violence and harassment and violence legislation.Again, Brock takes the issue of sexual harassment very seriously and I encourage any staff, faculty or students who may experience sexual harassment to report it to the Niagara Regional Police or to Brock Campus Security. If you have any questions or information regarding this incident, please email me directly at president@brocku.ca.For more information, read Brock’s official statement on our website. At Brock we remain committed to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all of our staff, faculty and students.Sincerely,Dr. Jack LightstonePresident and Vice Chancellor read more

Letter Was this a case of hand wash hand

Dear Editor,The Public Health Minister made much about the donation to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation of refrigerators to store the emergency supplies at the internationally acceptable temperature (‘ANSA McAL is only company to ever provide cold storage facilities for drugs’ – Lawrence ).This disclosure by the Minister raises the troubling question whether her judgment to sole source was compromised?Did this benevolent, charitable act play a part in any way or cloud the Minister’s consideration to bypass Tender Board procedures and opt for the controversial sole source route? Was this a case of hand wash hand? The Minister says she is not for sale. It seems Public Health Ministers just keep blundering on.Regards,Shamshun Mohamed Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)RelatedInvestigation into New Demerara bridge corruption probe complete- SOCU HeadJanuary 15, 2019In “latest news”$605M Drug scandal: No reason for COI into Lawrence’s involvement – HarmonMarch 24, 2017In “Business”ANSA McAL sole sourcing: President says ‘disciplinary actions if’ persons at faultMarch 11, 2017In “Business”,Dear Editor,The Public Health Minister made much about the donation to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation of refrigerators to store the emergency supplies at the internationally acceptable temperature (‘ANSA McAL is only company to ever provide cold storage facilities for drugs’ – Lawrence ).This disclosure by the Minister raises the troubling question whether her judgment to sole source was compromised?Did this benevolent, charitable act play a part in any way or cloud the Minister’s consideration to bypass Tender Board procedures and opt for the controversial sole source route? Was this a case of hand wash hand?
