Miami Quarterback Has A Message For QB Transfer Tate Martell

(Photo by Joe Scarnici/Getty Images)Tate Martell has officially arrived as the University of Miami.The former Ohio State quarterback has transferred into the Hurricanes’ program following two seasons with the Buckeyes. Martell opted to transfer out of Ohio State’s program after Georgia five-star quarterback Justin Fields decided to transfer to OSU.Martell, a rising redshirt sophomore, will reportedly attempt to gain immediate eligibility at Miami for the 2019 season.The former Ohio State quarterback has hired a lawyer and will be seeking a waiver from the NCAA to be able to play right away. It’s unclear at this point if Martell will be granted that waiver, but those close to him feel he has a strong case, mostly centered on Ohio State’s coaching change.Martell will be joining a crowded quarterback room at Miami.One of those Miami quarterbacks, four-star Jarren Williams, isn’t backing down from any competition.“Nothing excites me more than competition!” Williams tweeted.Nothing excites me more than competition ❗️— Jarren Williams (@Jarren2Williams) January 18, 2019Williams, a dual-threat quarterback, was ranked the No. 5 pro-style QB in the country coming out of high school by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.Martell, if he’s made eligible for the 2019 season, will be one of a couple of quarterbacks competing for the starting job, along with Williams.Miami opens its 2019 schedule on Aug. 31 against Florida.last_img read more

Pizza Pizza opens Monday in Hungry Badger

Brock University Dining Services is expanding its flavour profile with a new on-campus eatery.The first Pizza Pizza franchise at Brock fires up its ovens on Monday, Jan. 7 at 10 a.m.Located in the Hungry Badger, Pizza Pizza features a new high-capacity oven and fresh ingredients.“As part of our strategy for continuous improvements to Brock Dining Services, we selected the Pizza Pizza brand. It is a Canadian national brand that offers consistent, quality offerings at a good price point for students,” says Malcolm Dales, Associate Director, Operations. “Proven to be a brand recognized by students, Pizza Pizza is one of the most frequently mentioned brands when gathering feedback from Brock students.”Prices at the Hungry Badger location are competitive with local Pizza Pizzas. The menu will feature a single-slice combo, including a large classic pepperoni or cheese slice, cut from an 18-inch pizza, and fountain pop for $4.19.A cauliflower crust is also available for customers looking for a gluten-free option.In the coming weeks and months, the menu and service options at Pizza Pizza will continue to expand.
