A Top Head Coach Admitted Something Ridiculous On College GameDay

first_imgESPN College GameDay logo.A top college football head coach admitted something pretty ridiculous on ESPN’s College GameDay this morning. The head coach, Louisville’s Bobby Petrino, says he doesn’t know how to use Google.Seriously.The Cardinals’ head coach was asked to reveal the last thing he googled and he responded by saying he doesn’t know how.“You’re going to have to show me how to get on Google,” he replied. This seems absurd – has he never been on the internet in general!?! – but college football head coaches often like to act like they have no knowledge about anything that isn’t football related. If Petrino does get on Google at some point this season, he should stay away from googling “college football hot seat rankings.”Louisville, after all, is off to a 2-4 start this season.last_img read more

Black Lives Matter Protest

After 2 weeks of protesting outside Toronto Police head quarters, the Black Lives Demonstration has ended, but the pursuit of equality is far from over.Premier Kathleen Wynne spoke with demonstrators in person on April 4th to stress the the urgency of the issues. The group has given Wynne, Police Chief Mark Saunders and Mayor John Tory 300 hours to meet with group organziers. They’re demanding, among other things, changes to the special investigation unit, elimination of carding and the release of the identity of the officer who shot and killed a 45-year old black man last year.Activists in Hamilton had a mix reaction to the demonstrations and the Premier’s promises for change. McMaster Univeristy Professor Dr. Gary Warner who was put into the Order of Canada and received the Hamilton Black History Month J.C. Holland award emailed CHCH to give his reaction to Premier Wynne’s promises to demonstrators saying:“The ball is in the Premier’s court to demonstrate that the issues related to racial profiling and carding are being addressed proactively and in an effective manner by her government.” read more
