Rosanne Barr Endorses “Deplatformed” Friend Laura Loomer for Florida’s 21st Congressional Seat

first_imgLoomer and Barr are friends. Loomer says they bonded over the fact that she and Barr were both “deplatformed.”Barr tweeted in May 2018 a “joke” where she referred to former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett as “planet of the apes,” which led to ABC ending her TV show Roseanne.“Roseanne loved the fact that I put illegal aliens on Nancy Pelosi’s lawn, and that’s one of the reasons she put me on her podcast last year because she thought it was brilliant performance art.”In October of the same year, Loomer was kicked off Twitter for criticizing Rep. Ilhan Omar as “anti-Jewish” and part of a religion in which “homosexuals are oppressed.”“They’ve tried to destroy her livelihood and her reputation for making a joke. She used to be a member of the Left. but she realizes the importance of protecting free speech and our constitutional values like freedom of expression,” Loomer said about Barr. Barr will begin campaigning with Loomer in Palm Beach, Florida, and will hold a fundraiser “as soon as the coronavirus passes.” Loomer confirmed to the Washington Examiner that her campaign has raised more than $400,000 to support her congressional bid. Roseanne Barr has just endorsed far-right activist Laura Loomer and plans to help her fundraise and campaign against Democrat Rep. Lois Frankel in Florida’s 21st District congressional race.Priceless:How much longer is the media going to ignore #lauraloomer who BTW is still trending on the platforms she is banned from.@therealroseanne @realDonaldTrump https://t.co/h3td1mGuIz— Carl Higbie (@CarlHigbie) March 13, 2020last_img read more

Qatar Open: Kvitova Downs Wozniacki to Reach Final

first_imgPetra Kvitova recovered from losing the first set to shock world number one Caroline Wozniacki and reach today’s Qatar Open final. The Czech won 3-6 7-6 (7-3) 7-5 to earn her 12th successive win and set up a final against Spain’s Garbine Muguruza. It was the world number 21’s third win over a top-10 player in Doha.Kvitova, who won in St Petersburg two weeks ago, is continuing her comeback following six months out after a knife attack at her home in December 2016.“I don’t know what happened,” she said. “I just came to play and I was crazy a little bit in my mind and I was playing it everywhere.” After losing the first set, Kvitova appeared set to become the latest player to lose to Australian Open champion Wozniacki amid her impressive start to the season. However, she took the second set to a tie-break, then won six consecutive points to clinch it 7-3.“At 3-1 down, I was just really angry with myself so I just tried to hit some winners. That’s how that ended,” she said.Kvitova then edged the final set 7-5 to set up a meeting with Muguruza, who advanced after Simona Halep withdrew on Friday with a foot injury.Wozniacki, who has reached finals in Melbourne and Auckland this season, had the consolation of becoming only the fourth woman to earn $30m in career prize money.“I think we played both really well and I can take a lot out of that,” the Dane said. “I just need to live and learn and try not to make the same mistake when I play her next time.”Meanwhile, new world number one Roger Federer reached the final of the Rotterdam Open with a straight-set win over Italian Andreas Seppi.Share this:FacebookRedditTwitterPrintPinterestEmailWhatsAppSkypeLinkedInTumblrPocketTelegramlast_img read more

first_imgGorman in action for Letterkenny Rovers before he departed for Stevenage Borough last summer.Dale Gorman scored his first goal for the Stevenage first-team against St.Albans on Monday night and in doing so capped a remarkable week for the young Letterkenny man.Last week Gorman was at the centre of a storm, he was kicked in the head by a Mexican player during an international fixture at The Milk Cup between Northern Ireland and Mexico. The clip received national attention, and IFA authorities came down hard on both sides for the mass brawl that brought unwanted negative attention to the popular competition. Gorman wasn’t badly injured despite the vicious kick, and the tough midfielder played in the rest of the competition for Northern Ireland. He’s progressing well at Stevenage and this was evidenced further on Tuesday night when he scored a cracking goal against St.Albans in a pre-season friendly fixture.Gorman will be hoping he can break into the first-team on a regular basis during the forthcoming season ahead. They say a week is a long time in football and in the case of Dale Gorman, it’s a very true statement.   GORMAN SCORES HIS FIRST SENIOR GOAL FOR STEVENAGE was last modified: August 6th, 2014 by Mark ForkerShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:Dale GormanNBewsNOrthern IrelandSportStevenage Boroughlast_img read more
