Sony is at IFA 2018 in Berlin where it is gearing up to launch its next flagship Xperia phone, which is most likely the Xperia XZ3. We have heard about the flagship for a while now and details regarding its design and specs have been a little middling. But a new report by Winfuture.de gives us our clearest look at what the Xperia XZ3 will look like as well as the hardware it is going to bring.Roland Quandt of Winfuture.de has been pretty spot on when it comes to smartphone leaks and we expect the latest renders and specs details of the Xperia XZ3 to be accurate as well. Starting off with the renders, the upcoming XZ flagship will continue to sport an ambient design with curves and arches, especially on the back. The rear panel is made up of glass that will seamlessly curve into the metal frame. The device will be offered in four colours as per the renders – Black, White, Green and Red.Up front, the Xperia XZ3 will continue to sport an 18:9 display and will not join the latest trend of notched displays. That’s not surprising considering it took Sony quite a while to adopt full-screen displays. Notably, the bezels on the top and bottom of the XZ3 will be a little wider to accommodate two powerful front-facing speakers. The display itself is said to be a pOLED panel but the size is as yet unknown.Powering the Xperia XZ3 will be a Snapdragon 845 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It seems this will be the only variant on offer and there is no word yet on support for storage expandability. Interestingly, past reports suggested that the Xperia XZ3 will sport dual cameras on the back, but the renders seem to confirm that Sony will continue with a single camera setup. It is possible that the XZ3 Premium model will get the dual camera system much like the XZ2 Premium. Notably, the phone will be the first to ship with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box.advertisementThe single camera on the XZ3 will bring a 19-megapixel Sony sensor, but it’s unclear whether it will support OIS or EIS. As per the report, the front camera will bear a 13-megapixel sensor. The device is also said to house a 3,300mAh battery with support for USB Type-C. The report adds that the pricing of the Xperia XZ3 should be around 800 euros. We’ll know if the details provided by Quandt are true in just a few more hours.
